The red trail at Coed Llandegla is a fun medium length route suitable for pretty much anyone with proficient bike handling skills. The trail is a lot of fun when ridden at speed so a good level of fitness will make the route more enjoyable.
There is an intitial forest road climb which is somewhat featurelss but you can think of it as a great workout as you inhale large lungfulls of clean Welsh air.
At the top of the climb you are instantly rewarded with a swooping and fast downhill section taking you out onto open ground. There is plenty more where that came from as you thrash down a series of "bike park" style descents with berms and table tops aplenty. There are the unavoidable climbs to contend with but your adrenalin will keep getting you back up the hill.
This is a great trail for riders keen for a taste of fast adrenalin-fuelled mountain biking without any challenging surprises along the route.
