Rheola is located in the picturesque vale of Neath about 20 minutes drive North from the M4. The venue is used for the Halo British Downhill Championship series and the Welsh Downhill Championships. This trail is ideally suited to events or organised uplift days due to the sheer distance you have to push your bike up to reach the top of the trail. We’re talking well over an hour of steep forest roads which would be difficult to cycle up even on a cross country bike, let alone a downhill machine.

Take Junction 43 off the M4 near Port Talbot and take the A465 passing through Neath. Continue up the valley for about 15 minutes until you reach the 1st roundabout at Glynneath. Take the 1st exit, drive past McDonalds and then take the 1st left on to the B4242. After a couple of miles there are two large lay bys. Park in the second one and the entrance to the venue is opposite.
